We have decided to step into the scanning market after we have realised the growing opportunities within this area of the industry, we now utilize a Faro Scanner and software. This equipment enables us to produce 3D models or just registered point clouds with ease. We can provide a viewer to the client which enables the end user to query the scanned info and take of any dimension they require. The potentials are endless.Utilities
The model below of the 132Kv tower was created using only 2 scans and can be created to OS grid. This is carried out very quickly and allows remote measurement for clearances etc. This info can be stored for later checks if required. It also means that one visit can cover ALL future checks, even if the initial visit is for a different purpose.
The same could be used for inside sub-stations. It also means that you are not putting anyone in danger as it can be carried out from a safe distance.
Factory areas / Plant areas
Surveys of complex factory and processing rooms allow for any amount of dimensions to be extracted at a later date as well as loading the scanned data into third party software to use for clash testing proposed designs. Quite often a factory has no up to date 'As built' drawings and this facility allows checks and designs to be produced.
Small segments of the model can be selected to allow work to be carried out with ease.
